Joel Wilson is the son of entrepreneurial parents with a mother who ran the family accounting firm and father a major health care organization. Joel has become a lifelong entrepreneur.  His first business was a lawn cutting service with his first childhood friend. Later, in high school, performed flyer and custom label services on the original IBM DOS based computers. During college he started a lucrative t-shirt business, but then pivoted into computer consulting. 

Mr. Wilson has been serving as President & CEO of JCW COMPUTER CONSULTING, LLC (www.JCWCC.com) a technology firm originally established as a sole proprietorship in 1992 but re-launched as an LLC in 2002. JCWCC offers a full spectrum of high quality services and top branded computer products customized to meet the specific IT needs of K-12 Schools, Small-to-Medium Business (SMB) markets, Nonprofits, Corporate & Government Diversity Supplier needs, as well as everyday home users.  

Pursuing passions and dreams of b knowing more impactful, Mr. Wilson has launched:

  • OnSiteOnPoint.com (Expert Certified Computer Help!) in 2010 

  • Rhoads Networking Workspace (JCWCC.com Powered Co-Working & Event Space for the New Economy!) in 2013. 

  • Early 2015 TechCORE2 (Computers + Opportunity + Resources = Employment x Entrepreurship) | TechCORE2.org | facebook.com/techcore2 | upcoming Coding + Robotics + Web Development programs  News.techcore2.org 

  • Mid 2015 birthed the idea for the campaign #iLoveBOBs | facebook.com/iLoveBOBsUSA while traveling back from DC from a Al Sharpton Rally debating and conversing with friends (now defunct).

  • President Elect for 2020-21 & current VP of Programs / Board Member of 100 Black Men of Philadelphia, Inc. (May 2018)

  • Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for iBuyBlack.org campaign supporting Philly black businesses, Philadelphia Juneteenth Musicfest & Parade & Weekly Business Owners Conference Call (May 2018)

  • Co-Leader & CTO / CIO of #ManUpPHL (www.ManUpPHL.org) an Anti-Gun Violence Initiative in Philadelphia

Joel is among 246 graduating class of Central High School; has a B.S. in Computer Science and Certificate in African-American Studies from University of Maryland College Park; and continuously attends computer industry conferences and trainings to stay relevant in the market.
